The Garey is a mixed-use development including 320 market rate apartments and 15,000 s.f. of retail space. Located in the Arts District of downtown L.A., the two 5-story buildings over several floors of garage, flank a two block long street that is to be converted into a pedestrian paseo and active public space. At the podium level are the private open spaces for the apartments which includes a large courtyard with a pool and spa, BBQ and outdoor dining areas, and a party/gathering space around a firepit. Other courtyards are dedicated to an active open space with artificial turf, and a contemplative garden with a fountain. A fifth-floor roof deck with expansive views of downtown is designed as a sunning and party space.
