TGP provided landscape design services from Entitlement through Construction Documents and Construction Administration for this 53-unit affordable housing project for Veterans and their families, situated on both sides of Baldwin Avenue in El Monte. Each site is about 1.5 acres. The sites are connected by a pedestrian bridge over the major roadway.  The scope of work included the landscape and hardscape design for the project entries; the on-grade parking areas; the open spaces including large artificial turf areas for active sports, as well as a playground for 6-12 year olds; dry creeks as feature elements that also function as stormwater infiltration sources; and an ‘edible garden’ for growing vegetables for the residents.
